How We Helped One Homeowner Install a Custom Engineered Pressure System

Site Evaluation & Planning

From the start, this job required a deep understanding of both local regulations and soil behavior. Our team worked alongside a county representative and a licensed engineer to conduct on-site test pits. What we found:

• Gravity-fed systems weren’t an option.
Soil conditions didn’t allow for natural drainage, so we pivoted to a mounded, pressurized septic system.

• Soil limitations increased system complexity.
Poor percolation meant more materials, a larger drain field, and added cost.

Pressure System Efficiency

The gravity tank feeds into the pressure tank, which pumps effluent at 50 gallons per minute — the exact rate needed for optimal distribution across the field.

Components Installed

• High-efficiency pump
• Alarm system with floats
• Anti-drainback (ADV) valves
• Multiple inspection ports for future troubleshooting
• PVC pipe for longevity and reliability

Utility Surprise? No Problem.

During excavation, we ran into unmarked underground utilities — not ideal, but handled quickly and professionally. A licensed electrician was brought in to make all repairs safely and up to code.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

With both the engineer and health department involved, this install had to pass multiple rounds of inspections.

Permitting & Inspections:

• Soil evaluation with county present

• Full engineered system design submitted and approved

• Final sign-off by both the engineer and the county

Testing & Backfilling:

• We performed both leak tests and pressure checks

• Backfilling was done with tracked equipment to avoid damaging components while still compacting soil to prevent future settling

Post-Install Touches

We’re not just here to install and leave. Our team also took care of restoring the yard and protecting the system’s long-term functionality.

Testing & Backfilling:

• Sprinkler line and head repairs
• Sod and landscaping repairs
• Landscape edging replaced
• Installed Infiltrator-brand risers and lids for easy access

Warranty Coverage:

• 1-year warranty on the pump

• 2-year warranty on all other system components
